Then you take a screen shot of that map and report it to the police and they may be able to get you laptop back for you. Here is Apple's article on the subject. People steal these things thinking they can do something with them, but with Find My Mac they can't use it for anything but parts. Did you have Find My Mac enabled? I hope you had a time machine backup. If you do you can recover your photos almost certainly. Theft is just a small reason for a backup though most computer users never make a backup.
