Q: upgrade iMac with SSD

Hi

I have a mid 2011 20" iMac. It has a 1TB drive ,16 GB memory and a graphics card.

Can a SSD drive replace the primary drive? (Of course it will have less capacity than 1 TB)

or can a SSD drive be added as a Second drive ? I am looking for some I/O performance improvements for LightRoom, PS and FCP.

And, who is best to this upgrade ?

I did find this helpful item addressing how to do the upgrade. No, I will not attempt it myself. I will go to an authorized Apple tech.
