Q: 12.2.2 Itunes playlists not syncing with my iphone 6plus...

Hi,

Not sure if other people are having this problem. But I can't seem to get my itunes playlists to sync with my iphone 6 plus. I usually go into music under my phone and select all but it no longer gives me the option.

So instead of having thousands of songs on my phone I have none. Both my mac and my phone are up to date with the lastest software. Anyone have a fix for me? I've been trying for hours now.... Thanks!

Alrighty I finally was able to get it to work! For those of you having the same problem. This is how I did it...

Go into your phone settings and turn off iCloud music library under music

Go into itunes preferences on turn off iCloud music library

Plug phone into computer and go into your phone and go under music you should be able to select you music that you want and upload it with your phone.

Once your playlists are uploaded turn back on all the iCloud music library options so you can get the apple music you saved back on your phone

When you turn your phones iCloud music library it will ask you if you'd like to merge or replace make sure you hit MERGE! or you will have to start all over again.

That's it all the playlists that I wanted are back on my phone I hope apple fixes this issue with the iCloud library it's going to be annoying if I have to do this every time I make a new playlist on my computer. Hope that helps everyone!

I started this process since I was having the same problem. I tried a test run first with one iTunes playlist of non-Apple Music (something I got from bandcamp), then one Apple Music playlist, and they both managed to coexist on my iPhone. So I started over again to try loading up a few larger playlists. But now iTunes will not sync with my iPhone at all. It is stuck on "Syncing iPhone (Step 5 of 5) -- Waiting for changes to be applied." I'm not doing anything differently and it has only been a few hours since my test run - no software updates or anything like that in between. ***?

I've not got an option of my phone to turn off iCloud music library. It's just 'Show Apple Music Library'. Can someone help?

I believe I have a different solution. I have an iPhone 6 running iOS 9.3.1 and a MacBook Pro from late 2011 running OS 10.11.3 (El Capitan) with iTunes 12.3.3.17. Songs in my iTunes library, particularly those that I imported from physical CDs, become grayed (greyed) out on the music that is on my iPhone under the "On My Device" menu on the left of the screen on the iPhone tab above (the iPhone is connected via USB). Those songs would not be synced to my iPhone. To solve this, I went to my music library on iTunes (not under the iPhone tab) and selected the songs that were being grayed out. I right clicked (control clicked) the selection and chose Add to Playlist > and chose my iPhone. After another sync, the songs were properly added to my iPhone.

    Good luck!
