Q: I will be getting a new iPod touch 6th Gen soon and I was wondering...

What is the typical battery life of the device?  I will use it to workout, and for music listening and some movie watching.  Should I buy a case for it or does the device hold up well against scratching?  This will be replacing my 2nd Gen iPod Nano I bought in 2006.  Thank you for your input guys.

Oh and how is the camera?  Are the photos crisp and video clear?  I hear it is the same camera as in the iPhone 5/5S?

case is highly recommended since it provides some protection from dropping the iPod. It also give a better grip on the iPod to prevent dropping it.

Some users have reported shot battery life like 3-4 hours of video when Apple says 8 hours. Other users have reported battery performance on par of what Apple says.

Comparing spec and teardowns it appears the back camera on the 6G iPod is comparable with that in the iPhone 5S
