Q: Want to reimage a Macbook Air
I bought an 11" Macbook Air in 2009. It came with a tiny little thumb drive that I used to reimage it when it got completely messed up. My sister just bought a 2015 Macbook Air and messed up the password. She hasn't begun to set up the computer at all, so I thought it would be a lot easier to just reimage it. But it didn't come with a thumb drive.
I bought a Surface in December and it can be reimaged online. Does the Air work that way now too? If so, where do I find that tool?
(P.S. In case you're wondering, I wish I'd bought another Mac now that I have the Surface.)
MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

You sister might be able to reset the admin password using her Apple ID > OS X: Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password - Apple Support
That would much simpler than using OS X Recovery just to reset an admin password.
