Q: My phone showing calls from another phone on my account.

I have an iPhone 5.  There are four other phones on my account.  Phone calls from one of the phones (iPhone 6) are showing on my call log.  Today (for the first time) I even got a notification on my lock screen that I had 3 missed calls from someone actually calling the other phone.  (It did not actually ring my phone or leave an entry in my call history this one time!)

I checked settings to make sure I had not selected this other phone number, but that particular phone number did not even appear on the list!  That one phone is the only one leaving records of its calls in my call history.  Since it is the only phone not listed under the iMessage setting "You can be reached by iMessage at...", I feel like this might be a possible connection to the problem.

Any ideas?  Thanks!

Have tried that but to no avail. Also turned off handoff and Facebook. What is so strange is that the problem is only in one direction - my wife sees my call list but I don't see hers. That indicates it's a setting and not an intended feature. It just DOESN'T work!!!!!

I turned on Wi-Fi calling on both phones and seems to work (settings>phone>Wi-Fi calls). This is the message I got when I turned it on. I hope that's a lasting solution.

Thank you Gio Vanni - unfortunately I don't have the wi-fi option despite having IOS 8.4. I suspect it's because Vodafone UK doesn't support wi-fi calls?

Hi Susan, i have a same problem like you. If you turn off hand of and suggestion, your all both phone will be ringing at the same time. The correct one is turn of iphone cellular call in your face time.

I have been having the same issue and tried the handoff setting.  We have one Apple ID with multiple users (some too young to have their own Apple ID and others not tech savvy enough)

The engineer in me began troubleshooting and realize it only happened when my husband and I were both at home and on WiFi. There is a setting in Settings->Facetime iphone cellular calls. Haven't had a call come through both so far. Fingers crossed this has solved it.

MY devices...MY account.  Apple set it up for me, when I added kids to plan. They don't use iCloud for anything. I use it to find their devices/them. That is what find my iPhone was designed for. To find devices I own, regardless of who is using them.

I carry two iPhones, one for work and one for personal use. They are on the same iCloud account. As I mentioned in previous posts I have the same problem... Work calls showing on my personal phone and vise versa. I had no choice but to turn off iCloud on my work iPhone. That was the only way to stop it. Its a shame because that set up it worked great for years. Now, I might as well get a Galaxy work phone and have one of each since I can't have the two iPhones on the same account anymore.

Now if I loose my work iPhone, I cannot even use find my iPhone to find it because I must keep iCloud off.

Need to turn off "Share my location from this phone" under iCloud, Advanced - this only effects find my friends and geotagging of messages - you can still see everything in Find my iPhone.  You can also stay logged in to everything else with same iCloud ID (but need to have answer calls from near devices turned off for the these specific phones).

Exactly. Not to mention shared storage and iCloud photo library. My wife and I have a huge photo library and don't want to pay storage on two accounts to be able to replicate the library on both accounts (without talking about the difficulty to maintain this). If Apple really want every user to have their own account, they have to take care of such problem before, for example by allowing Photos to access two libraries (personal one and a family shared one).

Having separate accounts is not a problem for my kids. They are using their own accounts so that they can use the purchases I make, but also make their own ones. For the younger kid, I have to acknowledge each purchase so he can't buy anything out of control.

I have been having this same issues for the last couple of month now.  I shared iCloud account with my wife for many years, thank to suggestion on this thread, Turn off "hand off" on my phone seem to solved the problem for me.  I hope this will not change again in the future.

Agreed, my husband and I have the same issue, we have shared an account from the beginning because of our business and now each others call are populating on each of our phones. I have tried every single one of these suggestions to no avail. Is this a wifi issue or icloud issue or both? Why doesn't apple use the IMEI number to separate their devices in icloud if they can not seem to do it with the phone number. This does not seem that complicated to fix.

Unfortunately, this did not work for me. Upgraded to 9.0 and it does not solve the problem.

That's not true.  One choice is to set up a family.  All family members can find all other family members.  Also you can use "Find My Friend" as indicated by others.

Sharing an Apple ID ALWAYS results in problems eventually,
