Sep 8, 2015 2:35 AM in response to jobhby Briansyddall,Hi
Since ios7 when you charge an iPhone / iPad it automatically
Backs up to iCloud .
You can do almost everything over your wifi even software updates.
We have 2 iPhones 3 iPads and haven't used our PC for them
For over 2 years .
Cheers Brian ( UK )

Sep 8, 2015 3:30 AM in response to Briansyddallby jobh,iCloud didn't work as well even bought additional iCloud space.
But just fixed it. don't know what change made the fix.
-update all the apps on itunes and iphone again.
-sync iphone with all updates apps via itunes.
-Cleanmymac found an error in itunes with the backup (removed this error before and did this again)
Now itunes is able to make a backup.
I think there was an app causing the problem and with the app updates it got fixed.
