Q: iMac running 10.10.5 mouse will not wake up system yet still connected (cannot turn off Bluetooth)
iMac (27-inch, Late 2012) running 10.10.5 (recently upgraded to yesterday from 10.9)
Computer works fine except that when the computer goes to sleep, I used to hit the space bar or shake the mouse (Apple Magic Mouse) and it would wake up. Now, shaking the mouse does nothing. The space bar wakes up the computer but the mouse is not functioning. I cannot turn off the bluetooth either. I cannot understand this. The mouse is connected according to the Bluetooth system preferences yet hitting the "Turn Bluetooth Off" button does nothing. The mouse light does not come on when turned over.
Very odd. I have to reboot to get the mouse to work.
I can get the mouse to paring mode by turning it off and back on but still nothing. Yet, according to the Bluetooth panel, the mouse is still connected.
Any ideas??!?!?!?
Thanks in advance.
