Sep 7, 2015 7:33 PM in response to mmm 0valtineby Dr Acidfast,i read another post and the guy was a genius, worked for me. . my wife's iphone 5 is full, so I imported everything to iphoto, and also played around with image capture but it wasnt as good imo. so then I deleted all the photos from the phone to give her more space..... but it was still showing 4.6 Gig of photo space used!! the guy in another thread suggested toggling off the automatic time zone update in date and time. set it back to a year ago , for example. then go to your deleted photos, and BOOM, 960 old photos magically showed up. i deleted them and voila, problem solved. it drives me a bit nuts to struggle with things like that, and Im soooooo grateful to find a solution online, so I hope this helps you and Apple fixes the glitch too.

Sep 7, 2015 10:18 PM in response to Dr Acidfastby elcpu,You responded to a post that is 9 months old and the OP has likely addressed his issue by now. The "time zone, year back" solution is no longer needed as the bug has been fixed already in an update. The "solution" would only still apply for those that have not updated their iOS.

Nov 9, 2015 2:34 AM in response to Dr Acidfastby Beggar99,Thank you Acidfast!
After hours of spinning my wheels on this exact problem, I read your post. Then because someone else had said this was an outdated solution and no longer applied, I didn't try it!
After more hours of wheel spinning, I came back to your post and thought, "I've got nothing to lose - might as well try it" and it worked exactly how you said!
thanks so much for sharing

Mar 9, 2016 10:50 PM in response to mmm 0valtineby Christinaci,Hi, mmm 0valtine
Have you checked your "Recently deleted" album? Maybe it takes up your storage. Since iOS 8, the pics and videos you deleted are not actually gone. If you want to make them disappeared you need to go to the "Recently deleted" album and delete them again. Otherwise you need to wait for 30 days they will be deleted automatically.
