Q: I tried both "D" and "option + D" for AHT, but both lead me to internet recovery....

Sep 12, 2015 12:43 PMby FatMac>MacPro,Read this to see how to get into and use Recovery Mode. If you're trying to run the Hardware Test, are you booting up from a cold start?
Also, based on this, AHT may not be available on your Mac and the connection may be to the internet version.
