Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
I see that you're having an issue with placing an order in iPhoto. To help troubleshoot this issue I suggest that you go through the steps in the link below.

Thanks very much for the response!
Clicked on the link you provided. Running down the troubleshooting list, wasn't sure if Express Checkout was enabled or not. Clicked on the Apple Online Store link [which just took me to apple.com], located an Account category in the footer, clicked Apple Store Account, and was taken to a page that had an Account Settings category. No matter which subcategory I explored, however, I did not locate anything that mentioned Express Checkout. Perhaps the site layout has been altered since the troubleshooting page was put together? Can you please tell me where to find Express Checkout Settings? . . . .

Sep 12, 2015 11:03 AM in response to ThunderBolter88by Judith Badger,I too have been having problems uploading a calendar. I eventually was told that I need to upgrade to Yosemite. I am currently using Lion and am very comfortable and happy with it. I now am at a standstill because I don't want to upgrade to something that still has issues attached to it.

Sep 12, 2015 11:23 AM in response to Judith Badgerby Old Toad,If you don't want to upgrade to Yosemite or El Capitan (after 9/30) you can try ordering your book form PrestoPhoto. They advertise that they can print and bind books from iPhoto or Photos PDF files. I've not tired it so can't comment on it one way or the other.
If you do decide to order form them please post back with the results so we can inform others.

Sep 13, 2015 4:50 AM in response to Judith Badgerby ThunderBolter88,Hi, Judith ~
Yes, I'd rather not upgrade to Yosemite at the moment. It's just so odd, as I successfully ordered a book within the past year, and nothing has changed on my end. Shouldn't there be some sort of backward compatibility? . . . .

Thanks for the suggestion. I came across this: http://thestepfordguide.com/2013/12/23/my-experience-with-presto-photo-book/ Unfortunately, not exactly a ringing endorsement! As mentioned in my response to Judith, shouldn't there be some sort of backward compatibility? . . . . .

Sep 13, 2015 10:00 AM in response to ThunderBolter88by Old Toad,There is. But Apple needs to get the print store servers upated so they will work with the older iPhoto versions and that will take a while.
Yosemite is as stable a system at this time as I've ever used. However, it probably won't be available after 9/30 when El Capitan is released to the public. Then we'll have to start thru the multiple EC updates till the bugs are worked out (shouldn't be too many according to the beta reports).
If you're considering Yosemite at any time in the future you'll need to move before 9/30.

Sep 17, 2015 6:20 PM in response to Old Toadby ThunderBolter88,Hi, Ancient Amphibian ~
Thanks very much for the detailed information and sincere apologies for my delayed response. I've actually been preparing for the Yosemite upgrade. Have been backing up my computer files, et cetera, et cetera. Was just about to take the plunge when, on a whim, decided to try ordering my book one more time. Voilà ~ it worked! I'd yet to update to iPhoto v. 9.6.1 [was still using 9.4.3]; in fact, I hadn't modified anything in iPhoto. It simply uploaded smoothly for no apparent reason. Odds bodkins. Wonder what, if anything, changed on their end?
… Still planning on taking your sage advice, however, and first upgrading to iPhoto 9.6.1 and then upgrading my OS to Yosemite prior to the end of the month.
Thanks again! . . . .
