Q: Will using Powder on my wrist impede Wrist Detect?

I have a Sport Watch, 42". Although I am wearing my watch loosely around my wrist, I find that sometimes the watch face sticks to my skin uncomfortably. I'm not hot and sweaty, nor is it causing an allergic reaction. I just find it kind of bothersome that it almost suctions to my skin.

If I put powder on my skin to prevent sticking, will it impede Wrist detect from working or mess up the sensors? My husband puts deodorant on his wrist to prevent this from happening, but I didn't want to try that unless I knew for sure it wouldn't detract from proper function.

Apple Watch, iOS 8.4.1
