Q: boot camp or vmware , parallels?

hi guys!

i want to have windows on my mac and i will work with autodesk programs some say bootcamp hurts the hardware

is it right?

and if i use windows by vmware or parallels,could i work as well as bootcamp installation?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.4)

    Boot Camp (BC) does NOT damage the hardware. BC is a little faster than running Windows on top if OSX with a virtual machine like Parallels or VMware.

    With a virtual machine you can easily switch between OSX and Windows. With BC you have to reboot to switch.

    Just not that not Macs support all version of Windows. See:

    People say all kinds of things including you can boost your smartphone battery by putting the phone in the microwave for a minute or two. The idea that Windows can damage Mac hardware is absurd.

     

    AutoCad is a demanding program so BootCamp is probably the better choice. In the past I’ve installed Windows in BootCamp and then Parallel’s feature of running in virtualization from the BootCamp installed OS. That is the best of both worlds when you sometimes need all the speed and graphics power for a demanding program but sometimes just need to pop into Windows for a minute or two. These days I use PD only.
