Nov 19, 2013 4:14 PM in response to MainEventby OBIAMA,I am having the same problem with my MBA bought in August.
Currently in France it took me a while to get an appointment and they kept it for 5 days, during which I ll not be able to work.
I also noticed that the MBA temperature increases faster than my huband's own.
They said that they are going to change the screen and conduct some checks, but I am not very comfurtable with this.
Never had any problem with my windows laptop which I am happy to still have.
I am wondering if I can ask them to replace it completly? any advice?

Sep 15, 2015 9:20 AM in response to MainEventby nathanojfree,I have this same problem. The vertical half of my MacBook Air 11" screen turned blurry/lighter (the other equal side has normal color). I don't know what happened. I've rarely ever used my MacBook recently, and I've been very careful with it, as I always am with my things. It has disappointed me. Please help. Thanks!

Feb 25, 2016 9:26 AM in response to nathanojfreeby Peppahmink,Same here: MacBook Air 2015, screen is vertically divided with one half darker one lighter and occasionally goes black then lights back up. From what I can gather, Apple uses two panels per screen and the backlight connections are coming unsoldered. brave iMac users did their own screens, which they shouldn't have to. Clearly apple has a systemic problem with the backlight connections on these screens. When will this be fixed?

Sep 8, 2016 12:38 PM in response to Peppahminkby gerwald209,Hi.
I noticed something close to your issue: right side slightly dimmer on right half. It takes a low viewing angle to detect the issue and is only noticeable on certain hues of grey and off-whitish tones. Will be bringing it back to the store and see what they think.
