but the first place I'd look is AV or cleaning software. If you installed any "Clean My..." or Anti-Virus product you should remove it thoroughly.

Sep 15, 2015 9:14 AMby allenfromdunedin,Bizarre behavior. I restarted the machine and all was cleared. Prior to that, no save or print dialog was working. Apps were crashing when attempting to print or save. I originally thought this was only a Firefox problem, then tried Safari and found the same issue, which was when I posted this question. Then started finding similar issues even in System Profiler when I tried to print. That was when I thought it best to restart. Problem is now resolved, whatever it was.
