Q: Why do Apple Support links open in blank pages?

Having trouble opening some Apple Support links, mostly https links in Safari, and other browsers. They open all right, with all the Apple tabs at the top, but it is a blank page.

Here are a couple of examples.

If you don't see your content after you update iTunes - Apple Support

Move content from iTunes on your computer to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support

However, other https links open OK, such as https://www.apple.com/support/itunes/install/

This happens in Firefox and Opera as well.

I have turned off all extensions, turned off Firewall,  done Safe mode, but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

Wait until Apple releases a fix for this issue.

I can view all those articles without any problem.

The pages are not blank but their formatting is damaged, pushing the content far to the right. Until Apple fixes the problem, there is workabout:

    1) In Safari, go to Safari Preferences > Advanced and deselect "Never use fonts sizes smaller than..."

    2) In FireFox, open Preferences and select "Content" in the left-hand pane. Next to "Fonts and Colors" click the "Advanced" tab. That gives this window:

For "Minimum font size" select "None.

That will make the Apple articles readable again but, depending on your screen size and desktop resolution, other web pages may render a too small font.

    Thanks for your quick reply.

I can view all those articles without any problem.

That gave me a hint, and I looked at the links I posted and realized I had not tried the one about testing in another account. Just did that, and yes, can access all the links.

Now have to find what it is in my main account that is causing the problem, especially as it is not just Safari, where I cleared history and Website data and emptied caches, to no good effect.

    Thanks Allan,

Just tried what you suggested, and it worked. I did have Safari font sizes set to 18 as I have poor eyesight. Will have to toggle them when accessing those links.

    Thanks again.

    PS

Just logged into the other account, and with the minimum font size set to 18, the links appear blank.

Let's hope the upcoming new OS fixes this issue.
