Q: Why did Photos stop auto-saving iPhone pics?

Photos on my Macbook Pro suddenly stopped auto-saving pictures from my iPhone on August 4. Just noticed. Also PhotoStream suddenly gone on the Macbook. Any ideas why? It's still set to auto-save. Haven't changed any settings. I can hook up my iPhone and save them the old-fashioned way, but I'm wondering what happened. I still use PhotoStream because iCloud Photo Library too expensive.

MacBook Pro mid 2012

Yosemite 10.10.5

iPhone 6

iOS 8.4.1

I understand that photos are no longer auto-saving and you are no longer able to access Photo Stream. I would start with making sure that iCloud Photo Library has been disabled and is not in use on your devices. Next, go through the troubleshooting steps in the article below.

Do you see the other items under the Album title in the sidebar, i.e. Faces, All Photos, Last Import, etc.?
