Update via itunes and iPad bricks.... no chance to update or make a recovery....

Force Restart (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally.
You may need to try this multiple times until the device responds

Sep 16, 2015 1:54 PM in response to alexanderfrommooresvilleby SergZak,If you need to restore, you can always use your backup to get things back the way they were...that's assuming you made one before updating to iOS 9.

Sep 16, 2015 2:36 PM in response to percyperuby alexanderfrommooresville,you can, just do the back up prior.. if it fails follow the above steps and it will load the new iOS and all your previous data from your last backup.
