Q: Image/Picture softening after applying Colour Correction

I am just starting again to explore using FCPX knowing that FCP& Studio's days are sadly numbered....and I came up against this possible quirk/problem yesterday.

I imported an existing complete edited 10 minute piece, ( 422 HD 25fps ) and begun some trial Colour Correction using FCPX 10.2.2's onboard CC application. I split the timeline into clips as and when I needed to CC scenes differently and after some stumbling around finished everything.....however on playback I find that the picture/image softens, but when I stop the playback the still image sharpens to as it should be or was prior to the CC, ( still retaining the CC settings ).

All the background rendering reports as completed. Running on a 2010 MacPro 2x2.93 Mgz 6 core machine under OS X 10.10.5

What's going on here? Will the output to DVD or 422HD also be "soft" after the CC?

    Your export should be fine.

Switch to Better Quality Playback if you like.

    Thank you Alchroma,

fixed it as per your guidance.

Floundering around trying to get used to FCPX after all the years of FCP7 and all the back versions from day one. Hopefully I'll figure out what I need to in good time.

And yes you're right. The export was just fine.
