Sep 16, 2015 9:31 PM in response to Chenbmacby SergZak,★HelpfulI believe you can only draw notes and use the extra features (bulleted lists, etc) on notes that exist in the "On my iPhone" / "On my iPad" folder within the Notes app (I could be mistaken but this is how I'm seeing it). To access and use notes "On my iPhone" / "On my iPad":
1. Open the Notes app
2. At the top of the screen, tap the back arrow
3. Find "On my iPhone" / "On my iPad" in the list
4. Tap on "Notes" under the "On my iPhone" / "On my iPad" heading
5. Tap on the new note icon at the bottom-right (iPhone) or top-right (iPad)
You can now tap the round + button which will reveal the additional features (iPhone)
Or tap on the new features just above the keyboard on the right side (iPad)
I don't know if the new features can be added to old notes that already exist on the device unless you move those notes to the "On my iPhone" / "On my iPad" notes folder. I also did NOT update whatever the Notes app was wanting to update when it was first opened immediately after the iOS 9 update (I now forget what that even was).

Sep 16, 2015 9:36 PM in response to SergZakby Chenbmac,Hey SergZak,
I tried your method to no success.
I did press the upgrade button, which I haven't got a clue what it did to my notes. Maybe it was that!
Do you remember what this NOTES UPGRADE screen said?
Thanks

Sep 16, 2015 10:18 PM in response to Chenbmacby SergZak,I don't know what the notes upgrade was.
It works for me here on all my devices. Are you SURE you are creating a new note in the Notes folder under the On My iPhone / On My iPad folder? Like I mentioned above, this is the only folder it seems to work under. If you choose your "All iCloud" folder, it does not work (at least on my end).

Sep 16, 2015 10:20 PM in response to SergZakby Chenbmac,I did create a new note in the "On My iPad" folder and so far, the Skecth/Draw mode didn't show up anywhere....
I guess it's a bug or something.
Let's hope the next iOS update fixes this issue.
Thanks anyway!

so whatever i do won't matter, this feature is only for iPad 4 or newer. I did not know! it's a shame that such a handy feature is out from the 3rd gen iPads.
thanks for that!

Sep 17, 2015 6:25 AM in response to Chenbmacby bobseufert,★HelpfulYou're welcome. At least you won't be waiting for something that isn't coming.
You might want to give the App Store a check for sketch/ drawing apps I use the Skitch app to annotate my screenshots and it has many of the same features.

Sep 17, 2015 6:25 AM in response to Chenbmacby GreenPlanetNow,★HelpfulI also have an iPad 3 and since there wont be such a feature for this version on IOS 9, I recommned using the App "Paper" by 53, which has just updated from a drawing app to a more work facilitation app and now includes notes taking as a practical way to take notes including pictures, checlisk bullets, etc. Hope this helps!

Sep 17, 2015 6:28 AM in response to bobseufertby Chenbmac, thanks bobseufert!
even though there are other options available in the app store, Apple could have made this feature for all iPad generations in my opinion. I'm really disappointed at Apple.

I'll check out your recommendation. Let's hope Apple makes this feature available in future updates. it doesn't seem such a processor power taker task that a 3rd gen iPad can't have it.

Sep 17, 2015 8:28 AM in response to Chenbmacby GreenPlanetNow,I totally agree with you Chenbmac, it is not a big deal to apply this upgrade to previous iPad/ iPhones generations and make Notes a more practical app for more Apple customers. It is a shame Hopefully they reconsider in doing it!

Sep 17, 2015 9:09 AM in response to GreenPlanetNowby nirajfrombangalore,I Agree that it's a small feature and would have delighted the user who have iPad 3rd generation. If you see overall there is no feature which has made iPad 3rd generation user happy.
