Mar 21, 2015 6:12 PM in response to Jimzgoldfinchby Hampton,To me, this link to the apple support section is not as helpful. If read precisely, it indicates that iTunes purchases can be shared with family members. Jimzgoldfinch is correct that iTunes Match will not work under family sharing (something I spent 1 hour on hold with iTunes support today just to verify). You would think you would be able to share iTunes purchases under iTunes Match. To share music, your family member has to go to the purchased section of the iTunes store (on their phone or computer) and then click on songs they want that another family member purchased, and then download each song they want to "share" from your account. That is not a very practical solution for hundreds or thousands of song, which leaves us all having to use the same workaround that they tried to address by creating iTunes match (everyone has to use the same iTunes store account). Amazing...

Sep 17, 2015 10:30 AM in response to Hamptonby Mihalyfi,I'm disappointed that iTunes match is not available on family sharing, to get around this I created a playlist in iTunes with all items, then I only have 1 download button which automated the download of everything (so I can then share to family devices).
- The problem this causes me is an estimated 10 hour download for all my music and videos (but will hopefully fix the problem).
- The problem this causes apple is this has now removed my reason for iTunes match, as all my items are now on all devices, removing the point of iTunes match (which costs £21 per year), I may unsubscribe now as no point in iTunes match any more (I'm sure this wasn't apples plan)
If apple were to allow iTunes match usage on a Family account, then I may reactivate it to save storage.
