You may have a problem if you have updated any iOS device to iOS 8.4 or later as I believe this requires iTunes 12.2 or later for syncing.
See the box near the bottom of Make a split library portable for advice on relocating the iOS device backups that are stored in Roaming. The main part of the tip explains how to move the library out to a new drive in a way that make it easy to backup and relocate in future.
You may want to take advantage to Microsoft's offer of a free upgrade to Windows 10.
