Assuming you have Windows click the Start Menu, or press WinLogoKey+R for a run dialog, and type in devmgmt.msc then press enter. The Device Manager control panel should open up.

Jun 10, 2015 12:19 PM in response to JF Fourieby JayBearW,This definitely worked. It seems sometimes after Windows Updates, device driver software is need to be reinstalled. If that process is interrupted, you only end up with a generic Apple iPhone drive. Thanks!

Jun 30, 2015 4:37 PM in response to lilshortiee59by Omryo,Hi,
Believe it or not, the solution to your problem is easier than you think.
the problem is probably caused by a dirty lightning hub. Just use a toothpick to clean your iphone lightning port and you're good to go

Sep 19, 2015 7:11 PM in response to JF Fourieby iguessineedausername,I tried updating the drivers with my iPod touch. No luck - already running the most up-to-date version. From other posts, it looks like the problem might be with the latest version of iTunes (12.3.0.44). I had already upgraded my touch to iOS9. When I updated iTunes, it stopped being recognized.
