Q: iOS 9 Siri does NOT beep.

I upgraded to iOS 9 and if I hold the home button, Siri does not beep and I feel vibrations. And the sound appears only if I change in Siri´s volume settings the speaker to iPhone or if I swtich off vibrations, but then I don´t have vibrations. I tried to reinstall the software fourtimes, but nothing happens. I don´t know wat is wrong.

there’s no sound anymore only two short vibrations on devices with vibration motors. you are not experiencing a bug.

It is obviously a bug. I'm experiencing the same issues as you are on my iPhone 6.  My iPad mini 2 works fine on iOS 9.

I'm not sure if this is a  intentional design or bug.  It certainly does not get me a better user experience. A little googling suggest people started experiencing this since beta 3.  My iPad works fine it's only on my iPhone 6.

I Am experiencing the same on the IPhone 6 Plus. Wife has 6 and is working and kids have 5c they have no issues, Siri works just as normal. This definitely is a bug. Hope Apple is really looking into this, is a great feature, especially if driving.

no double-beep when pressing home button for siri on iphones running iOS 9 IS NOT A BUG.

Bad news: iPhone will only vibrate if you use the home button to activate siri.

(UPDATE: there's a work around: Go to Settings>General>Accessibility>Vibration>OFF. The iphone will double beep afterwards. Warning: if you turn off vibration, the iphone WILL NOT VIBRATE EVEN IN SILENT MODE)

Good news: there will be double-beep feedback if you use "HEY SIRI" voice activation.

Note: "Hey Siri" will only available only after you activate it in Settings>General>Siri and Make sure the iphone is plugged in (For iPhone 6/6+ or older)

in response to Jandor, so if this is not a bug, how come iPhone 6 and 5C are getting double beep after iOS 9 upgrade? This also applies to IPads, and mini, those are working just fine.

iPhone 6 and 5C should only vibrate after iOS 9.

For iPads, it will always double beep, because iPads do not have vibration motors built in.

I Contacted apple and they told me to do a factory reset that may help. Also if you change to other language in Siri settings  it will work, mine is currently working in English (UK) but not in English (US).

That's useful information.  It's obviously a glitch.  I'm not sure why a few posters claim the issue is intentional or what authority they have on the matter. Regardless, switching to English (UK) is an okay work around, especially in Canada.

Same here with an iPhone 5S. Interestingly, if I plug headphones in, Siri beeps again, remove headphones, no beep.
