Sep 18, 2015 6:02 AM in response to Pointebasicby D.Cohen,★HelpfulHi! Try the recovery mode. Turn your device off, then plug it to your computer with the home button pressed. Keep the Home button pressed until you see the iTunes logo on the screen of your device. After that on your computer you should see the iTunes window saying your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click on the restore button.

Sep 19, 2015 5:43 AM in response to Pointebasicby weaversgirl,★HelpfulI have an iPhone 5s and had that problem this morning. I held in my power and home button, waited until it powered off about 30 seconds and turned it back on. My camera works now. Hope you get this resolved!

Sep 19, 2015 5:52 AM in response to weaversgirlby quirki,★HelpfulNo, unlike us, fortunately you just had a small glitch.
Power off or hard reset doesn't help.

Sep 22, 2015 12:48 PM in response to Egrissomby Egrissom,Apple ran a thing on my phone and told me it was a hardware issue with the camera and since my phone is 16 months old not covered.

Sep 22, 2015 4:10 PM in response to Egrissomby mmphillips,That is garbage. Hardware just coincidentally failed for a bunch of people as soon as they installed a new iOS? Nonsense. Hopefully Apple will come through with an update before too long... otherwise luckily for me I will have a new 6S Plus in a couple of weeks.

Sep 23, 2015 9:41 AM in response to Pointebasicby b1gpkr001,So are Apple going to rewrite the software?
I couldn't believe it! I have been using my phone to take pics of our new born. I did the up date and now no camera.
it ***** because I was using it to send picture to our familys the other side of the county!

Sep 23, 2015 10:22 AM in response to Pointebasicby Dominicoben,Seems like I'm having the exact same issue on my iPhone 6. Been on iOS 9 for just under a week, and have started having problems with the camera where it won't open, or if it does open there are pink vertical lines. I find it hard to believe it's a hardware issue considering I've had the phone a year and only ran into problems after installing iOS 9...

Sep 23, 2015 10:40 AM in response to Pointebasicby weigandtstudios,★HelpfulI have exactly the same issue after updating, but my camera worked for around 1 day until it turned black and flash is telling me its overheated and needs to cool down. The phone is not overheated and never was.
Restart or fresh install didnt help so I downgraded to 8.4.1 since apple is still signing its and unfortunately the camera is not even working in the previous ios... so now I am probably looking at a broken camera since no iOS version recognizes the camera any more.. Im using an iphone 5

Sep 23, 2015 11:56 AM in response to Pointebasicby Amit@25,★HelpfulRelieved to know I am not the only one facing this issue. iPhone 5s updated to iOS 9 and was working fine for a couple of days, the camera and flash suddenly stopped working today. I hope apple is reading this and working to resolve this issue.

Only a small update but looks like, after reading the info it has a LOT of bug fixes!
its only around 35mb update which means it's a few lines of code correction!
Hope that helps
