For a limited time Apple will allow you to downgrade to the previous release. Hurry do not wait. This period lasts for at most a week.
See brownox second post here:

Sep 21, 2015 9:59 AM in response to JohnWGIVby marcosnr93,I've been looking in other forums and they've found another app called "Documents 5" by Readdle that can do the same option, just by downloading the file via its integrated web browser.

Sep 22, 2015 7:51 PM in response to JohnWGIVby gordychow,Using the Mercury browser I was able to press and hold on the link and select 'Download Link'. You will then see a green notification on the menu button in the top right corner. Proceed to 'Files' and you can then press and hold on the thumbnail of the file and select the 'Open in' option, selecting Notability from there. Hope this helps.

Sep 27, 2015 2:38 PM in response to JohnWGIVby anneegmw,That feature was crucial for me too... Because other ways aren't allowing me to open it in Notability. I'll download the Puffin thing, but it's really inconvenient . I hope Apple fixes this .

Sep 30, 2015 10:22 AM in response to rccharlesby marcosnr93,Guys... Apple has just solved this issue!
They have already seeded iOS 9.0.2 that solves the problem, so you can open any document in Safari and afterwards, open in Pages, Word... whatever!
Thanks everyone for your comments
