Q: Hardware UUID -- can you change it?

Hello!

I know it might seem odd that I am seeking a solution to this. If anyone really wants to know the reason behind it, they would surely have a good laugh. But, I need to know, is it possible to change the Hardware UUID? Looks something like this and can be found under the hardware information on the computer "XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXXX".

Can I change it -- and most importantly -- how?

I am sorry if I put this in the wrong section.

Best regards,

Froggermen.

What's the problem? Why do you want to change the UUID?

The uuid was introduced as a security mechanism for copyright production.  Changing the uuid could circumvent certain copyright protections. Describing the problem you encounter would let folks suggest alternatives.
