Sep 19, 2015 8:37 AM in response to Winston Churchillby sambufalini,I uploaded almost 5 gigs of pictures into the drive as a backup just before my old hard drive died. I have a new drive for that purpose, but the download button on the iCloud drive is grayed out, and all I can do is view the pictures.

Sep 19, 2015 10:28 AM in response to Winston Churchillby sambufalini,I agree, but it doens't work. After further research online it appears the trouble is the new drive, a WD My Passport 1 TB. It mounts, I can open files on it, but when it won't accept new files. I thought I could just reformat using Disk Utility, but I get an error message saying the drive can't be "unmounted." Thought I had done my due diligence before buying this drive, but maybe not ...

Sep 19, 2015 11:18 AM in response to sambufaliniby sambufalini,Figured out the problem. The new WD drive had to be reformatted for use on Yosemite. And your suggestion about moving the files in the Finder window was spot on. I had been trying to drag-drop straight out of iCloud drive on my browser. Thanks for your help.
