Q: Ipod classic 80gb connects temporaraly then disconnects itself. Still visible in iTunes but wont sync. iTunes says iPod cannot be found

My Ipod classic has stopped syncing with iTunes. It is visible on ITunes but when I click on sync I get a message saying iPod cannot be found. Running latest version of iTunes and windows is up to date.

    Press WinLogoKey+R to open a run dialog, then type in services.msc and press enter/return. If you don't find the iPod Service listed then repair or reinstall iTunes.

     

    Some AV programs, Norton in particular at the present time, may hinder or block communications with the device.
