Sep 25, 2015 3:52 AM in response to steve_mooreby turingtest2,Press WinLogoKey+R to open a run dialog, then type in services.msc and press enter/return. If you don't find the iPod Service listed then repair or reinstall iTunes.
Some AV programs, Norton in particular at the present time, may hinder or block communications with the device.
