Sep 21, 2015 2:34 AM in response to Winston Churchillby Triumph Ventures,This worked, thank you. Unfortunately, it worked after finding this page, which took about half an hour of searching, and being re-introduced, over and over, to the idea of creating footnotes.
Editing footnotes is mandatory. It's so easy to do in Word--you don't even have to think about it, you just click and make your changes. I had expected Pages to be equally simple, if not more so, and I was pretty annoyed to discover that it took an arcane trick to perform a very simple, very necessary task.
What sort of illiterate clown decided that end users shouldn't be able to click on their own footnotes to edit them? I hope this function will be upgraded, and that Apple will stop trying to complexity their products by burying turn-ons to the most basic academic functions in a word-processing program inside layers of menus.
