Don't fall for it, give your iThing away and get an Android, or a Windows mobile device. Stand up for yourself.

Sep 20, 2015 5:13 PM in response to straitcrzyby ahllev,Tried to upgrade to ios9 on my Ipad and bricked it during the process. Stuck on same page as most upgrades ("slide to upgrade"
Tried to follow Apple "fix" but it did not work. Required that I turn of "Find My Ipad" first......kinda difficult when you are shut out of the system.
Seems that most of the problems are occuring with people who are upgrading from ios7 to 9 without having gone through 8.4.1.
I found the following "fix" online and was able to recover my iPad (including all 155 downloaded apps and all of my files and photos) in about 20 minutes. I must say that before I bricked the ipad trying to upgrade to ios9 I had done a full backup.
Here is the link. It requires downgrading the ios to 8.4.1 which allows the ipad to function. You then link to iTunes and restore your apps before upgradinbg to ios9. Went without a hitch.....whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sep 21, 2015 3:05 AM in response to ahllevby sndoron,Thank you so much for the link. If you follow the steps, it works like magic. I t is VERY IMPORTANT to have ios 8.4.1, in my case using the ipad 2. It is now clear to me that you cannot upgrade from earlier ios ver to ver 9 without getting into trouble...

Sep 21, 2015 3:53 AM in response to alexanderfrommooresvilleby gabian01,I had to force a restore to factory settings which recovered my Ipad still using IOS 9. However, I cannot connect my Ipad to ITunes to restore my backup of apps etc as I receive an error "my Ipad does not have the latest version of ITunes". As the Ipad has IOS 9 loaded I would assume I have the latest version of ITunes but I cannot find a way of knowing what to do. On the Ipad I have ITunes store as an app and no way that I can see to upgrade it.

Sep 21, 2015 8:12 AM in response to alexanderfrommooresvilleby HopeDust,I also became the victum of IOS 9 on my iPad. My iPad was completely wiped out. Tried rebooting 5 times and connected to iTunes, nothing! I can't believe Apple's poor job on this.
