Q: Yosemite Server and Paypal SHA-256 compliance

Hi,

We are running a woocommerce wordpress site and we ran the test that woothemes recommends to test for SHA-256 compliance and it fails.

But I found this that seems to say this SHA-256 compliance is built in.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202858

Can anybody shed any light, or how to get the SHA-256 compliance into the server.

Thanks,

Scott

What certificate do you proffer for web connections? Is it based on a Trusted Root CA listed?

Well, in paypal's "mini site' about this, they provided code that could be used, and I tried it, but not sure I did it right. We have no paid CA, but we don't even try to use the self signed one on the sites because it will just generate warnings for people.

But this is supposed to be an OS level root cert isn't it?

See, we also have both a Snow Leopard server and a Mountain Lion server configured the same, but the woothemes test mentioned above passes just fine. Fails only on Yosemite.
