how to get warranty for ipod 2gb ?

Do i need to register anywhere? I bought this 2gb ipod in Australia and can i get service in India..??

The one year limited warranty is automatic.

Check Your Service and Support Coverage

You will need the serial number > Find the serial number of your Apple hardware product

The warranty is worldwide but keep in mind it may not be accepted at Apple resellers > Apple - One Year Limited Warranty - Worldwide
