    Hello there.

I am using an iPhone 6 and my screen froze. I could not switch it off or access onto any apps. I googled the solution and the article said to hold your power and home bottom simultaneously until the screen changes. Here is the link to the article, hopefully it may help you. http://www.gottabemobile.com/2015/09/17/ios-9-problems-fixes/

    Cheers.

There is a bug when updating from iOS 7 to iOS 9 (Skipping iOS 8). Luckily it is easy to fix!

Step 1 - Backup your device (This will save things like photos, text messages, etc).

Step 2 - Download iOS 8.4.1 for your iPhone or iPad.

Step 3 - Reboot phone into DFU mode - hold down the sleep/wake button and home button - when it reboots let go of power button - still hold home button

At this point it will ask you to connect your phone to iTunes - will have to connect phone to the computer.

Step 4 - Hold down the Option (Mac) or Shift (Windows) and and then click restore.

Step 5 - Browse to the 8.4.1 file you downloaded and select it. This should restore to the previous IOS version. Note: This will wipe phone.

Step 6 - Restore from backup. Hope that you backed up before attempting to update.

Step 7 - Download and install iOS 9.

I upgraded my iPad 3 to IOS 9 after being prompted in iTunes. Complete disaster. Could not get past the "slide to upgrade" screen. Did the home button + power switch thing a zillion times plus many other fixes suggested on various forums all to no avail.....long story short.......DON'T UPGRADE TO IOS 9, IT'S A CROCK (yes, I'm shouting so everyone can hear!). Revert back to IOS 8 until Apple sorts this out. Wasted many hours of my time. Thanks Apple!

OK up to Step 6 but DO NOT do Step 7. Same thing will happen. IOS 9 is a crock. Many, many posts on various forums all with same problem and no fix. Tried them all, nothing worked, went back to IOS 8 on my iPad 3. Thanks (for wasting my time) Apple.

this issue are very frequently after the update...

Try first to restore the device use itunes, and configure as "new device" with your usual apple id, after the set up, go in settings>iCloud and use your usual account.
This is only because while the update of iOS 9.1 is released.

SSince I downloaded ios9, my screens freeze or go blank. I can't chat in game...typing has a 10 second delay or knocks me out of game. Takes 15 seconds to get into Facebook and if I scroll down too fast, screen goes blank. I play a war game that needs speed...game froze in battle.

COntacted support..they walked me through backup to cloud and resetting iPad. We couldn't verify if it worked because wifi was knocked out during this process, so support ended call. After support hung up, I had wifi instantly...noticed all the same problems. Made another appointment for support, but had to wait a full night...still waiting for support. Support was to phone me 3 hours ago...SUPPORT? I'm still waiting!
