Q: Can be used the Apple Watch with 2 iPhones?

I use one iPhone 6 Plus and one iPhone 6, I just receive my Watch today and I did the setup with my iPhone 6 and everything went good.

After I turn off my iPhone 6 and tried to do the same with my iPhone 6 Plus, but I can't connect it. I Unpair the watch from my iPhone 6

but I did not find option to add another device, the only way is doing a reset to the watch and start the setup again.

Any help? maybe I missing something or the watch only can be used on the phone that  was setup first?

That's right. The watch doesn't give you the option to pair to two phones at the same time.

And if it did connect to two phones, every time you tried to send a message from the watch or make a phone call it would have to ask you which phone you wanted to use to send the message/phone call. Just about every watch app would have to ask you which phone to communicate with. This would be impractical.

Your question has appeared twice on this site. Maybe you posted one from each phone. For the sake of completeness, I will answer both of the questions.

I Also asked. I have a work phone and a personal phone. It would be great to pair with my work phone during the day so I can quickly deal with work email and calendar. Then would love the ability to switch to my personal phone in the evening. they have separate Apple IDs. Any chance this will be a feature coming out soon?

I agree.  I have a work iphone (5s) and personal (6) and would like to be able to switch my Apple Watch to the work phone whilst at work and back to my personal phone when I leave.  It would be good if this was on the development programme.

Definitely, apple watch ios 2 has skipped the most important function on it: "add another device." I hope apple will fix it in the next update...

They also need to add profiles to the Watch App  I have 2 watches and as a result have to have 2 iPhones. It's absurd. There should be a way to pair multiple watches to one phone with the ability to toggle between them from within the watch app. Not sure how it would work in reverse - 1 watch/2 phones since thered be confusion with responses etc. but they do it with iMessage and FaceTime between shared devices so they should be able to make the watch work as well.

They already have the functionality to do just that in place so it's not a stretch to see it possible to do with the watch.

You can already send iMessages and FaceTime calls from your phone, iPad, Mac, etc.  You just set the priority of devices in your Apple ID preferences (initaite new messages/calls from X number/email address)

im not sure exactly how practice it would be. Or if the pairing function of the watch can handle pairing with multiple devices. But there should be some provision for 1 watch/2 devices and the reverse, 2 watches/1 phone. Having to have 2 phones just to be able to have 2 watches is Apple shooting themselves in the foot.

The best way to solve this issue is synchronize n number of "apple watches" through icloud, and vice versa. I hope this can be possible in the next update.

Did Apple ever make this a reality?   Linking one watch to two phones shouldn't be that hard.  Just like Mail with multiple email accounts.   Replies go through the account a message came in on, and a default account for new outgoing messages.

This would be a great feature for those of us who are stuck with a personal and a work iPhone.

No. Apple has added the ability to link more than one watch to a single iPhone, though.
