I guess what I am looking for is a way to put the macbook pro on a "dock" so it uses AC power, but still use the laptop's monitor, as well as the other two?
Which would be no different than leaving it plugged in to AC power all the time...

Sep 22, 2015 1:29 PM in response to bobjavaby Kappy,Why don't you just connect your AC charger that came with it? There is nothing wrong with using the charger all the time.

Sep 22, 2015 2:09 PM in response to bobjavaby frazzm737,I use my MBP like a desktop all the time. The laptop sits on a stand on the desk to put the screen at a proper height for viewing. My desk has a pull-out shelf so I attach a bluetooth keyboard and trackpad as well as a mouse. It is pluggged into the power all the time, but I do run it on battery occasionally to maintain battery health.

Sep 22, 2015 7:53 PM in response to bobjavaby komododragon,or you can just plug it in when using the external monitors and unplug when your done or what not, continually leaving it plugged in for say a week wont hurt it none just discharge the battery every so often to keep it in good shape

I don't want to leave it plugged in all the time, because then the battery life gets much shorter.
This is dis-information.
exercise your battery once a month. You get approx 1000 full charge cycles on a new battery.

Sep 23, 2015 3:53 AM in response to bobjavaby bobjava,Thanks to all of you for the quick responses. I will just leave it plugged in all the time, and drain the battery down once a month to keep things in check.
Thanks again!
