Q: Mail error on Macbook Pro "The IMAP command “UID COPY” (to **********) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: Store partition is full."

I am using a Macbook Pro (iOS 10.10.5) and since yesterday I have been receiving the following error when I try to delete or move mail in the Mail app "The IMAP command “UID COPY” (to **********) failed for the mailbox “INBOX” with server error: Store partition is full."

Testing mail indicates that I am no longer receiving any mail for any of my @me.com account on either my iPhone, or iCloud webmail either.

I have checked my iCloud space and I still have 3GB free.

Once I try moving messages to other folders I get the above message and the emails appear to disappear. In addition, no emails I am sending are appearing in the sent mailbox.

This has started for me today too.  Exact same issue and the lack of incoming mail and record of anything outgoign extends to my iphone and iPad since it's all iCloud of course.  There's a big glitch somewhere today.  I finally started getting mail hours later but the problems and message you noted are now showing up.

I am having the same issue, it seems to be local to mail as I can get the items to delete or into a folder through the web interface. I have just increased my iCloud to 50gb so it can't be a cloud issue.

I have 4 other email accounts coming into mail and none of them are experiencing the issue.

Having same issue on all of my Apple devices. Spent "4 HOURS" on the phone yesterday with Apple and they can't seem to figure out the problem, though I thought they fixed the issue as I started to receive email, could delete and see sent email, but that lasted for only 2 hours and it's back to the same old though still getting some email. I told Apple it must have something to do with their free upgrade they implemented over the weekend from 20GB to 50GB iCloud storage. Thanks Apple for the free upgrade, but please give me back my email!!!!

I spent over an hour on this issue with Apple support yesterday. They were unsure of the cause of this issue but suspected something had happened at the server end.

The solution found after trying various other options was to delete my iCloud account completely from my Macbook and re-add it. System Preferences > internet accounts removing iCloud from in here.

The mail then took some time to transfer again and once everything had come back across, the error messages stopped and I received new mail.  All mail messages that I had attempted to move to other mailboxes while this error was happening were lost and were not recovered.

As darrenseuk mentioned my other email accounts coming into mail were unaffected. In addition, I could transfer mail messages to mailboxes stored on my Mac without error. This issue was confined to iCloud.

I think that Apple may have fixed this issue over night. This morning I woke to 22 emails and all the problems had cleared on their own.

    I'm having this too.

I have 3 Mac's, my iPhone and my iPad all having the problem. For a few days my emails have been slow to arrive, had trouble moving them to folders on the server, and now they seem to have come to a complete halt. I thought it was my phone at first while I was out and did an e-chat with Apple who just went through deleting and re-adding the account (no joy) and didn't say anything about any other issues.

I've been through deleting iCloud from my Mac's and iPhone etc and re-adding, went through on echat about it on my phone and went through the deleting etc again but no luck. This must be a serverside issue but no indication on the Service Status page.

I've even deleted a few hundred emails in case that was the issue.. Alas no joy. Hopefully they fix it soon!
