Sep 23, 2015 6:38 AM in response to mattplowmanby Yongkykun,So, how are we supposed to restore iOS devices now? I have (stupidly) preordered iPhone 6S Plus and am scared of the thought of restoring it with my current backup data. It's somewhat obvious that datas are bound to be lost and apps needing to be downloaded all over again. I really hate this new 'feature'. It's a detriment to what Steve Jobs and the original iOS team have built over the years.
Is there a better way to reach out to Apple apart from the useless feedback site?

I would dare to say that the majority of owners never or very seldom use iTunes for iOS updates let along backups, syncing or transferring apps
Just the opposite...

Sep 23, 2015 10:50 AM in response to Yongkykunby xpirex,I just did the Apple IOS 9 upgrade on my iPad Air 2 and now when I plug it in to my iMac iTunes does not detect it at all.
I can neither make any backups or restore anything on this iPad Air 2 which was only released last September.
I just contacted Apple Support on Twitter, they asked me to go to Apple support which they know is one time £25 fee for support to make iTunes work with IOS 9... They then said that I really should not have upgraded to IOS 9..
I'm stunned at Apples total lack of care as this is not a problem with my device or hardware but an obvious compatibility issue with iTunes and IOS 9.

Sep 23, 2015 12:30 PM in response to Mr. Seaby ramgopal.m,From my understanding after extensive research
You could follow this procedure to solve your problem...
1. Download app updated ONLY on your mac
2. Only then update all your iDevices one by one
Keep mac as your hub for updates downloading... everything will work fine just as before
Cons:
1. You will miss the new iOS 9 feature which SAVES SPACE by downloading app and its resources specific for your device type

Sep 23, 2015 12:44 PM in response to ramgopal.mby LeXavDu42,OK I'm not sure to understanding well ... You mean that we have to updates apps ONLY on mac then sync our iOS devices ?
But it should be working on both ways, I mean before iOS 9 and Itunes 12 we could do that and now it's not the case.
Sorry for my poor English, difficult to learn in France lol

Sep 23, 2015 1:03 PM in response to Danilo Vilelaby xpirex,I just did the 9.1 update.. iPad still not recognised by iTunes at all.
I just tested it on an older Macbook Pro laptop with an earlier version of iTunes on and that connects, and syncs just fine. So could be an iTunes issue..

Sep 23, 2015 1:07 PM in response to ramgopal.mby macudo,Well i have tried this. But if my iPhone shows me the Updates and i made them in iTunes
and then synchronize the iPhone with iTunes, they will still shown on iPhone as available updates
but only with the option to open them. Then i can not update them on iphone any more.
And they will not disappear from the list of the available updates.
The only way to solve this is to delete them from iTunes and then reinstall them again from iTunes.

Sep 24, 2015 12:10 AM in response to sparta81by ritrock,So, it means there won't be a solution and we need to update apps on all our devices separately?
Dis-appointing

Sep 24, 2015 3:33 AM in response to sparta81by Rod Baron,I called the german Apple support, and have been forwarded to second level.
After i have told them about the sync problems I got the answer that apple is aware of this problem
because many affected users have reported this.
The technician told me also that is not clear in the moment if this is an IOS9 or an iTunes bug, but apple
is working on the solution.
So hopefully this problem will be solved soon, and sorry for my bad english
Best Regards
Rod
