Q: how to batch change images in photos

I have used Aperture forever and really like it = I know Apple is no longer developing it and has moved everything to Photos = which is fine [I hate it but am not in charge] - but one thing I REALLY need is the ability to do batch changes of metadata and information on images = I cannot be going one by one and making changes.

How do I batch change the information for my images??

iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2)

Wait for the release of the next version of Photos with MacOS X 10.11 El Capitan on September 30.. It will make it possible to batch change titles and captions.  You can already batch change the capture time with "Adjust Date and Time".  Also it will bring the ability to add locations to selected photos.  See the preview

    :   Apple — OS X El Capitan

For the time being we posted a few apple Scripts for batch Changing in the User Tip section. But scripting i not well supported and you may encounter frequent time outs.   See:  Photos for Mac User Tips

This is why I still love Aperture and hate Photos...I don't use it for anything serious and looks like Adobe Lightroom will eventually take over.

Thanks for the answer  - I'll wait but it really is a royal pain.

I still use Aperture for my main libraries. Aperture 3.6 is working well on Yosemite. Photos even has a "Share > Add to Aperture" command .  I'll wait, until I see, if the new editing app extensions will turn Photos into something useful, before I decide, if I will migrate to a non-Apple photo software.

Why not continue to use Aperture, I find it works perfectly ?    If you don't like Photos, why don't you use one of the many other photo applications available?

I am shocked learning that you simply cannot use your products anymore (iPhoto, Aperture)

and there is nothing the vendor offer for your problems, i.e. batch change, watermarking, etc.

I cannot believe this is Apple.
