Q: ios9 wifi not working

Hello,

Since updating to iOS 9 I cannot connect to my work wifi. It keeps telling me the password is incorrect even though it is identical to my PC which is connected. I have an iPhone 5s 16gb. wifi at home works fine.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9

Yes there is another option. Home button can be inserted on your iphone by this way.....   Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> AssistiveTouch -> On.   This will add a home button on your screen

Wi-Fi on my iPad 2 stopped working right after I updated it to iOS 9.

I just did network reset and then device reset, according to the instructions above and Wi-Fi has started working again!

    Thanks!

I am working with iPads (Wi-Fi only) in a school district. After inadvertently allowing iOS 9 to update on one device, I found myself in the same boat as all of you. Followed elpcu's steps 2 and 3 directions. I could get connected to our wireless network, but could not get a web page to open. Message was "Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server." Saw this same message before and after doing steps 2 and 3. We also have an "outside" wireless connection with a home-use router (we use this to test VPN connections on our laptops). Had no trouble opening a webpage while connected to this Wi-Fi. Connected back to our district Wi-Fi network, and on a whim, I typed in the URL to the website for my personal email. This time I finally got our district login page, which then passes me through to the website.

Not sure others will find this helpful, but wanted to share it anyway. I know how frustrating this is for all of us. I could not see a way to downgrade to 8.4.x since I use Apple's Configurator to manage all of our iPads; we do not use iTunes.

My wifi on the ipad doesnt work, but my iphone and laptop works fine. I upgraded iphone from 8.x.x to 9.0 to 9.0.1 and everything works normal during the whole period. But I only upgraded my ipad from 8.x.x to 9.0 then suddenly the wifi doesnt work in the ipad. It worked the first few days. It can connect to the router with the tick sign and all, but its not downloading anything from the internet.

I did the whole force restart, turn on turn off, reset network settings etc but none of them worked. Then i upgraded to 9.0.1 on the ipad but still doesnt work. it connects to the router but no internet. I read all the methods to solve this issue but still doesnt work. Some people have different solutions to their wifi issue.

    Help!

iOS 9.0.2 did not help with my iPhone 6. I have updated my iPad2, iPad Mini, and iPod Touch-5g to iOS 9.0.1 and they all work fine when I have my router SSID broadcast turned off. Something about an iPhone 6. Anyone having this issue with the new iPhone 6s?

    FIXED!!

Hi, I went through all fixes found on the internet. Nothing worked.

Then i logged into my Router and found that my iphone mac address was blacklisted by the router. I erased it - save - BOOM. there you go, youre done.

    works like a charm.

By the way to find your iphones mac address, go to Settings > General > About > WiFi Address

IM having trouble too, but mine is working on Google, Wattpad, Gmail... But my Tribez will not work nor my Netflix. Tried all the fixes except a total wipe, contacted my internet provider, everything. Not sure Clash of clans works either.

I'm having the same problems with my Eduroam. For some reason, I can't connect to it in halls but I can in lecture buildings...

What I'm doing as a temporary measure is using my laptop to create a hotspot which I'm then connecting my phone to. What. A. Mess.

    Hope this helps for now!

I have 2 iPhone 5s. One is a backup without a SIM. I upgraded it first and used it around the house for a week. Having no issues I upgraded the other 5s which I normally use which does have a SIM. The second won't connect to one of the wireless routers at home. It will connect to 3 others I have. 5ghz or 2.4ghz appears irrelevant. Of course the one it won't connect to is my primary. The backup 5s device with cellular turned off has no issues. No other device of many has issues with this router.

It just "spins" when connecting to the particular router. If you give it a bad password it will recognize as bad. I applied all elcpu's steps except 4 (it doesn't get that far), 8 and 9. I am hesitant to do 8 and 9 because I don't want to make the situation worse.

Is there a way to see what is going on in the background with the "spinning"?

Same issue here.  Once I started broadcasting the phone immediately went to wi-fi.  Must be some type of coding error in iOS9 as it worked fine in iOS8.  Hope they resolve in a future update.
