Q: game center broken in ios 9

Anyone else seeing this? I saw this during the beta but in the last beta it would actually load eventually. But now it doesn't do anything. Just sits on the white screen. It works perfectly fine on my iPad Mini 3, though.

    I don't think Apple will wait until 9.1 to be officially released to fix these issues ... the main goal of 9.1 is to support the iPad Pro which will be released in November 2015 ...

    I believe the solution will be in 9.0.2 or 9.0.3 within few weeks ... like 9.0.1 was released after a week from 9.0

    We have to wait and see though ...

    After spending 3 hours with Apple chat online, what finally worked was wiping out my iPad & using my iPhone backup. After doing this I did have a brief GC glitch the next day where my friends disappeared, but they soon reappeared. Using any iPad backup, even one pre-dating the iOS update, resulted in the same GC problem that's been discussed in this & other threads. The downside to doing this is all the additional time you'll have to spend setting up your iPad again, putting in your passwords, arranging/adding/deleting apps, setting up your mailboxes, etc. Apple released a bug fix yesterday, but it mentions NOTHING about GC. I don't know about you, but I ain't downloading the update. Apple needs to fix this!

    What I found strange is open Game center on my iMac or iPhone 6+ now problem. Also for the settings on the iPhone.  On my iPad I must complete restart open game center in settings then wait see the blank screen with the spin wheel and after a long thime game center settings open. Then I can play the game, but there is somthing wrong with my friends. The game is real racing 3.

    Interestingly, my iPhone 6s arrived today and I used my iTunes backup from my 5s. Game Center took about a minute but has now logged in (on the 6s). Still dead on the 5s though.

    If you choose the option in iTunes to encrypt your backup then it should keep all of those settings so you don't need to set them up again.

    Ditto.  I had a similar conversation only I had to reload Itunes just about everything.  After we went through everything, Game Center came up after a few seconds.  Got off the phone, 10 minutes later, gone and hasn't come back.  I do appreciate the help from the supervisor, it was a long call and she was very patient, but to the Apple engineers, REALLY!!!!!!!

     

    FYI, this is on an Apple Air.  I am terrified to even touch my other devices.

    On my iPhone 4S, my game center works fine, but some aps act oddly, yet on my iPad2, GC doesn't work at all, I get the same white blank screen that everyone else gets... I've lost all the friends I had in certain games and so on, similar to what others have posted about...

     

    I'm just hoping that apple takes notice soon and acts properly and promptly...

    I got an other call with my senior technician.

    He told me that now everyone is aware of this problem inside Apple, they received an internal note about this issue.

    I will give them access to my backup so they can try to understand what is wrong. They will do the same with other users who have this issue.

    Hopefully we are not far away from a fix !
