Q: Wrist pain by Apple watch

I have purchased my Apple watch about three weeks ago. I have noted that it is causing deep carpal (wrist bones)pain. Pain slowly becomes worse till evening and it is so bad I have to remove the watch in the middle of the day and massage my wrist. When I rotate the watch pain starts in the other hand. I feel there is some radiation emitting from it that is causing it. Iphone never caused me any pain but this does. I want to see if I can isolate it from contact with my skin somehow but most of its good applications will go away.

Pain is a nagging, throbbing, arthritic type. No swelling or redness is noticeable.  My old watch never cause any problem. I need to use it but not with this much pain.

Hope Apple can come up with some Silver cloth to protect the user. I feel a semi faraday box made by silver cloth should protect the user from excess radiation and consequent pain. I will do the experiment.

not sure what you mean by radiation but if you mean wifi or bluetooth wireless signals then silver will not do anything to help that

the only thing silver would help against would be nickle allergies and werewolfs

    Hi

One potential cause of discomfort is wearing your watch too tightly; it should stay in place, but be loose enough to allow your skin to breathe.

Also, some people may experience reactions to certain materials. You can learn more about the materials used in Apple Watch and some of its bands via the links below. If you experience redness, swelling, itchiness or any other irritation, Apple suggests that you may want to consult a physician before wearing your watch again.

The convex back of the watch can press into a nerve in your wrist if, as Jonathan suggests, you're wearing it to tight.

The Apple Watch does not give off any radiation that is perceptible to humans other than light from the screen and the sensors and possibly, a small bit of warmth if it's been charging.

I Cut a RF cloth and put it under the wrist watch. 95% of pain resolved. Then I turned off the heart rate sensor. Pain is still barely sensible but nothing like before. Loosening of band did not help. Also if I use the telephone on it, I get momentarily increase in pain. It seems the Bluetooth also emits energy which can cause pain. During calls probably emission of RF increases and causes some increase of pain. But the major cause we're the diodes emmiting light.

    Tin foil works, too.
