Sep 23, 2015 4:29 PM in response to Thebeatfighter119by Rob O 1977,I took mine to the Apple store and was told that you have to try and use the back up feature in iTunes to save your data. I tried that and it told me my phone wasnt set up so the back up could not be performed. I took it back to the Apple store and was told the only fix is to blow out your phones hard drive and do a complete restore losing all of my pics/files.

Sep 24, 2015 10:34 PM in response to gzhang301by dovfromil,It wasn't a pain for me to get back to iOS 8.4.1 - just annoying that I can't install iOS 9 - which makes me more frustrated about my apple watch! Can't update to watchOS 2 without iOS 9!! Now that's really a pain!
please share more info on ibackupbot, I've never heard of it. What did you do and is it reliable?
Maybe all of us here can adopt your solution.

Sep 25, 2015 8:24 PM in response to dovfromilby gzhang301,I heard about this ibackupbot software in this forum as well. the good thing about it is it can read your iPhone's backup file. you can export the photos, sms in the backup file. it is less loss than lost your backup completely.
also i tried to restore my old backup file after updated to iso 9.0.1, it doesn't do any good. tired it in a new iPhone 6s, cannot restore old backup as well, so don't try it and waste 2 hours of your life...
good luck.

Sep 29, 2015 6:10 AM in response to gzhang301by dovfromil,Can you give us a rough background on how you used (or the best way to use) iBackupBot.
Essentially, I want to save all my notes, pictures/videos, SMS, whatsapp and maybe a couple of other things. Is this possible with iBackupBot and if so, how?
Also, has anyone tried using a different computer?
Thanks!!

Sep 29, 2015 10:30 AM in response to gzhang301by kaimit,Guys I ran into that problem while restoring backup to my 6s, too. Easy way to fix it: when it's stuck at the Apple-Logo just turn off the phone: press the power button until it turns off (takes about 10-15 Seconds). Then turn it back on and the restore continues just fine.

Sep 30, 2015 11:36 PM in response to kaimitby dovfromil, this didn't work for me.
I did a clean install, tried to restore, restore completes, then it gets stuck in the boot logo, but iTunes recognises it - still no luck.
Also iBackupBot didn't work for me, when i tried to do a partial restore, the iPhone would boot but couldn't sync with iTunes.
Either way, apple have stopped signing 8.4.1 so we can no longer test and downgrade.
I am stuck on 8.4.1 until apple fix this, or someone presents a solution.
Have you guys got any further ideas?

Oct 1, 2015 3:18 PM in response to Thebeatfighter119by natashasteer,I think i finally, after loads of You Tubing, have a fix! Make sure your phone is not in DFU mode, use ReIboot if necessary, then when it is stuck on the Apple logo hold down the + volume button only for as long as needed until a progress bar appears. Once it does, let go of the volume button, the progress bar will load and your phone should ACTUALLY START. I tried absolutely everything else, DFU mode, recovery mode, but only holding the volume + made the phone start and recoverable. Hope it works for all of you. Bloomin Apple!!!

Oct 4, 2015 11:33 AM in response to Thebeatfighter119by Quocipher,Same problem here. I was experiencing the problems one iOS 9 and thought I'd try to upgrade to iOS 9.0.2. Bad idea.
Phone now stuck on boot logo/vibration and I cannot restore to iOS 8.4.1. I still have my backup files on my computer, but every time I try to restore them, the issue reoccurs. I've tried using iMazing, iBackupBot, everything. Still no luck.
Very unhappy with Apple.
