Q: Viewing Albums on Apple TV

I can see all my albums and photo stream on my iPAD  & iPhone but on Apple TV I can see some Photo stream and a few old Albums.

How do I make the newer Albums visible on Apple TV without deleting photos on the Cloud. Curiously iCloud Photos on my PC shows the same limited number of albums as on Apple Tv. All programs have ben updated?

iPad Air, iOS 9.0.1

The Apple TV uses photo stream and not iCloud photo library.

Photo stream in the cloud keeps your photos for 30 days after which it will delete them. They are not deleted from the device which they are taken on, which gives the appearance that they are missing on other devices.

    THanks, Sir Winston!

ON Apple TV, Photos - I have a page on the TV entitled iCloud Photos.

    ON it are 3 files:

    1) my Photo stream 10/9 at 8.27 92 photos : They look like the last two weeks photos taken on my iPhone

    2) Activity 4/9 at 13:46  202 photos : This seems to be a copy of the 2014 Album with the merged 2015 pictures

    3) 2014 Album Shared with Judy and Rebecca  : This is the 2014 Album. but in my effort to create. shared 2015 Album. I seem to have managed to merge the 2014 and 2015 albums together.

SO it seems Apple TVs photos can show more than the photostream.

WHy can I not swop the original 2014 and 2015 albums or add another Album..

ON the iPad the 2014 Lbum has dissappeared but now appears in shared with the two albums combined.

I guess the question is can I delete the 2014 Album without losing the photos and get the 2015  Album to appear on Apple TV?

In addition to photo stream it can show shared albums but it cannot show iCloud photo libraries. If you have photos that are older than 30 days that you want to see on your TV you will have to either..

Add the photos to a shared album so they can be seen via the cloud through the Apple TV photos App., or

Add them to the selected home sharing photos in iTunes on your computer and see them through the Apple TV computer app.
