Q: How do I get out of iTunes Match and or iCloud Music?

I purchased iTunes Match about 18 months ago.

Even though I am a huge Mac fan, I have to say that ever since I purchased it it has been terrible, dreadful, horrible to say the least.

First I was unable to configure all my Macs to use the same account.

Second I have never been so disconnected from my music, I have 16,000 songs, so I figured if I had iTunes match I would be able to access any song from my iPhone at any time. WRONG!!! Even when I have good 4G coverage from my cellular provider, the songs keep stalling in the best case. Sometimes they just plain quit and go to the next song. If the signal is not so good it will start skipping song after song until the Music App quits altogether. Then I try reopening it and I might not be able to listen to any song at all. Needless to mention that using the shuffle function is nothing short of a nightmare.

If this was not bad enough, now I browse my Playlists and some songs appear dim, other bright. If I try to listen to the pPlaylist, iTunes will play one or two bright songs and then stop altogether. If I double click a dim song, it will stream and play, once finished it will play 1 or 2 bright songs again and then stop. So basically I am stuck with 1 or 2 songs out of an entire Playlist unless I want to sit in front my computer and double click each song.

I AM SICK OF BEING CHARGED FOR STORING MY SONGS ON A CLOUD THAT WILL NOT LET ME HEAR THEM.

I have been very busy working to get around this problem but I've had enough. I don't want any fixes or help notes. **** I don't even want to get my money back. I JUST WANT MY SONGS BACK ON MY DRIVE AND A CANCELLATION OF THIS THE MOST HIDEOUS SYSTEM THAT APPLE HAS EVER, AND I MEAN EVER, CREATED.

The only solution I have found is to download my 16,000 songs one by one, which I rather sue Apple than go through this. And even then I have not found any button to quit the iTunes Match service.

Just writing this message is making me nauseous. Give me my music BACK ASAP!!!!

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), null

I am in a similar situation. I have had a gutful of all the messing around, losing songs, mp3's. Between Match and Apple Music it is a nightmare. I just want to manually store and play music and use Spotify when I want to listen to non-purchased music.

There is not even a simple description of how they are supposed to be set up and used as far as I can see.

    Hi Pat2309

I am stuck with iTunes Match as well, but I haven't given up yet.

Apple support stayed with me for hours via chat trying to make it work, until the guy gave up and asked me to contact Apple Support on the phone in my own country. The problem is to beat the "can I help you" first-level crap. I need advanced support...

But back to your question - those guys via Chat Support can help you cancel your subscription.

I have done that twice now - trying to fix the issue.

The problem is I was stupid, I mean, persistent enough to subscribe to it again and again.

If Apple doesn't fix my iTunes Match issue over the phone now I will get it cancelled (via chat) one final time.
