Q: Cannot see my history on my new iPhone after restoring from my old iPhone backup

I cannot see my history on my new iPhone 6S after completing a Restore Backup from my 5S !

I did the 5S backup to My Computer using encrypt ! I can see all the activity history since the end of May 2015 on my 5S but when I open up the 6S from the restore backup none of that history is there!

How is this related to your Apple Watch?

Try restoring the phone again from the encrypted back up. Try doing another back up from the original phone and then restoring the new phone from the new back up?

    Hey Meg!

Sorry should have mentioned this "History" is the  "Activity App" that I have used since the end of May when I got my Apple Watch! When I got the new phone I did not unpair  the watch from the old phone before we transitioned everything from the old 5S to the new 6S! So I went to the apple watch site and they have outlined a detailed set of steps to preserve all the 5s  history of the Activity app by unpairing it first and then backing up the old phone (using encrypt  to ensure Health data is transferred!) So I did not erase my  5S and I can see all my achievements and daily activity history there. So I restored the new iPhone 6S using the recently encrypted backup of my 5S hoping to see the history on my new phone! But it is not there!

It should have worked. I recently had to have my iPhone replaced. I did the encrypted back up before taking it to the Apple Store. When I restored the replacement phone from the encrypted back up, everything came across. Now, I did unpair my watch while I was at the store but that was after I did the back up so I don't know that it would have made a difference.

I've the same problem, but don't use a backup. In the past I had problems with backups from older iPhone Generations. The official apple Support tell me, restore the iPhone without any backup. So, now, this is my problem. Without using a backup, I can't restore the History for Activity App. i can't understand that. For this special transfer, Apple Watch Activity History need to use iCloud.
