Q: What program is used to open the Documents folder?

When I click on my documents folder to open, it attempts to open in Terminal.  I am unsure of which program to use to open the documents folder.  I have tried Preview with no luck.

IMAC, Mac OS X (10.4.10)

The Finder is what should open it, try dragging the Documents folder to the Finder icon in the Dock.

    If that doesn't help...

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.

(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive & clear caches.)
