Sep 28, 2015 1:01 PM in response to fachy16by Ricky Riccardi, after you plug in the drive, launch disk utility. does disk utility see the drive? It is possible the drive is not formatted or formatted some way the mac cannot read it. otherwise it sounds like you have a bad flash drive.

Sep 29, 2015 5:54 AM in response to fachy16by rkaufmann87,If it shows in Disk Utility it will also show in Finder. Please open Terminal and type:
Killall Finder
This will restart Finder. Then check to see if the drive shows up under the Devices category in the Finder Sidebar.

Oct 1, 2015 2:50 AM in response to lllaassby fachy16,UPDATE
When I click on the 32GB part the verify disc part is greyed out anymore, I click on that and then the USB appears in the finder and stays until I remove it. No problem writing to the disc etc. When I remove the disc and plug it back in I have to verify it again before it will appear. Is that a sign it's corrupted or something?

Oct 1, 2015 5:37 AM in response to fachy16by lllaass,Try formatting the USB drive use Disk Utility.
If you have the same problem that would point to a problem with the USB drive.
