The best thing to do here is probably to replace the main iTunes library database -- a file called iTunes Library.itl (in some cases, it may not show the .itl file extension), which is located in your Music/iTunes folder, with the most recent backup of this file. You should be able to find a backup in (a) the folder Music/iTunes/Previous iTunes Libraries, or (b) Time Machine, if you've got that turned on.
When you locate a backup file, do this:
1. Quit iTunes
2. Drag the file iTunes Library.itl from the iTunes folder to the desktop.
3. Drag the backup into the main iTunes folder, and rename it iTunes Library.itl.
4. Open iTunes again.
