Q: itunes match missing from windows application, no menu item with shift key hold?

hi

yesterday on my windows 10 pc i was successfully using itunes connected to my itunes match account.

this morning, itunes can't connect to itunes match any longer? i'm only seeing a handful of songs that I had purchased from apple over the years, not the thousands of songs I've uploaded into itunes match.

itunes match is still working ok on my iphone

on my windows computer I tried looking around forums and google for help

have tried uninstalling itunes and all "helper applications" and then downloading and reinstalling a fresh copy of itunes.  did not change the problem at all.

I've read where you're supposed to be able to hold down the shift key, then select the store menu item, then there will be a turn off itunes match option not normally seen there, and you're supposed to try to turn off then back on itunes match to resolve this issue.  however in my itunes on the windows pc when I hold down either shift key and select Store menu item, there is no turn on/off itunes match option at all?

at present I'm stuck on how to get itunes match working again in my itunes windows application

Please help

    Hello dave7insc,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

If you're not seeing any of your matched content from iTunes Match in iTunes on your Windows PC, then please make sure you're signed in to the correct Apple ID, and you have enabled iCloud Music Library in your settings.

    On your Mac or PC:

    1. Make sure that you're signed in to iTunes with your Apple ID and password
    2. Windows: Press Control + B on your keyboard to open the iTunes menu bar. Choose iTunes > Preferences, and turn on iCloud Music Library.
    3. If you already have music on your device, you'll be asked if you want to Merge or Replace the music. Choose Merge to add the songs currently on your device to your library.

Check your Apple Music library settings - Apple Support

    Take care.

Try pressing the Alt key once instead.

That should reveal the menu bar, and let you click on Store->iTunes Match.

#2 of alex_h1's answer was what worked for me

    steps were slightly different

    in itunes on windows pc

    selected edit menu, then Preferences

then on the General tab, somehow (and have no idea how) the box for iCloud Music Library (email address) was unchecked.  re-checking that boxes restored access on my win. pc to my itunes match library

    thanks alex_h1!
